Above shows the ship having a trial fitting in the sea. She has since been transferred back to the building board and will not go back into the sea until complete!

This is to be a long-term project to see me over the winter months and maybe beyond. I have already assembled the display case and completed all the work that needed to be done outside. I shall take my time over the model with the hope that it will be my best ever.

Some of you may guess the name long before it is complete and if anyone comes up with the correct name, I will confirm it to them. But no clues whatsoever!

It is now 53 years since I was enrolled at the Merchant Navy training establishment at Wray Castle, on the side of Lake Windermere. Late last year, we had our two-yearly reunion in the Lake District.
